Question
What do the scholars of Islam say regarding the following matter: what
is the ruling regarding a person who enters the masjid immediately after smoking
a cigarette without removing its odour from the mouth?
It is not permissible for the aforementioned individual to enter the masjid
immediately after smoking a cigarette. This is because a bad smell emanates
from the mouth after smoking a cigarette, and it is Haraam
and a sin to enter the masjid without getting rid of the smell. However, such a
person may enter the masjid if he gets rid of the smell before entering.
