The Ruling for Coughing in Salah

Question

What have Islamic scholars ruled on the query of a long-lasting cough arising during Salah which results in lasting beyond the duration of [reciting] ‘سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه’ thrice? So will one have to perform Sajdah-e- Sahw, etc. at this instance?

Upon the basis of a valid reason, e.g. due to coughing, if silence within Qira’at, Tashahhud, etc. extends to a duration of reciting ‘سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه’ thrice, or results in a delay in the completion of a Fard or Wajib, then this does not have any effect on Salah and Sajdah-e- Sahw is also not necessitated in this case.
