To unfold hands after fourth Takbeer in funeral Salah

Question

What do the scholars of Islam say regarding the following matter:

We have been offering the funeral Salah for a long time, and the way we offer it is that after the fourth Takbeer we unfold the right hand as the Imam turns his face right saying Salaam, and we unfold the left hand as he turns his face left saying Salaam. A few days back, a man led the funeral Salah and he said that one should unfold both hands as soon as the fourth Takbeer is said and then Salaam should be done. Please tell us which method is correct?

The right way is to unfold both hands as soon as the Imam has said the fourth Takbeer and, thereafter, turn the face saying Salaam. The reason is that in the state of Qiyam in which one has to stay or do Zikr and recitation, one will fold hands and where it is not the case one will not fold the hands. Since there is no Zikr and recitation after fourth Takbeer, nor does one have to stay in that position anymore, but rather one has to turn the face saying salaam immediately after Takbeer, there is no need to fold the hands at this point. It is similar to the extra Takbeerat of Eidayn in which one doesn’t have to recite anything and as a result one doesn’t fold hands.
